un); LiveReport「Boston to Austin "SXSW2011"」

Hi there,

you do feel like February must be gone so fast, don't you? I do actually.
In last month, I had been just so busy. I got many "must-see"gigs in Boston. Even some of them connectively made new jobs in me or became as new challenges for me.

Last Sunday February 27th, there was a "catch the show before the show" at Brighton Music Hall, Allston MA which's an obvious Rock City next to Boston University in Boston area. BMH has replaced last year from...

(It's already been a little while Tuesday March23rd today though, and because actual SXSW2011 has also already over... but I do up!)

9 Bands go ahead to Austin:

  • Bodega Girls
  • Mystery Roar
  • Kingsley Flood
  • Viva Viva
  • Mean Creek
  • The Dirty Dishes
  • Banditas
  • Static of The Gods
  • Endless Wave

I'd invited a Japanese Bostonian friend of photographer, Yusuke Suzuki for the official show of Preview Boston SXSW. At first he had a work photographing for Northeastern Univ.'s basketball game, but he just made it the night alternatively for me to shoot live performing shots at the night. That was so awesome night for me since he took my favorite bands in Boston (whom I've got discovering much Boston Bands since 2009 ?), like Mean Creek, The Dirty Dishes,

「”Top 10 Lists of Healthy Relationship Songs 2010”」

Intro;

Hi there, officially and after all, I may haven't said anything for

Happy New Year 2011!!

I know it's supper late to do that. But I wanted to clearly.

Well, actually I have been edited couple articles on this English blog of mine so far. But I could make them all enough to publish, but all comes soon seriously. Promise.

~~

By the way, quickly at this time, I'd like to be mentioning to the title's one of this post. There's Japanese Free Magazine in Boston area called, TAKARA. (Which means  'treasure' in Japanese.) But they don't have their web site or any information online, so it's just I'm picking the article up from the section on the magazine by Blue Sox which is a support group for Japanese Women Bostonians, and the article entitled "Top 10 Lists of Healthy Relationship Songs," page 15 in January 2011 Issue.

According to the article first, says:

Boston Public Health Commission announced "Top 10 Lists: Songs with Unhealthy and Healthy Relationship Ingredients 2010." This was accompanied by increasing tendency of dating violence songs for teenagers of late years, picking included lyrics and music videos affirmed violence scene or violence itself up to make lists from popular musician's hit songs which have much influences on young people by Boston teenage participations of Teen Violence Prevention Program who are between 15 to 18 years old.

"Top 10: Songs with Unhealthy Relationship Ingredients (2010)"

  1. "Lil Freak" by Usher
  2. "Hot Tottie" by Usher
  3. "Love The Way You Lie" by Eminem (fr. Rihanna)
  4. "Misery" by Maroon 5
  5. "Only Girl" by Rihanna
  6. "You Love is My Drug" by Kesha
  7. "F**k You" by Cee lo
  8. "Deuces" by Chris Brown (ft. Tyga)
  9. "Eenie Meenie" by Justin Bieber (ft. Sean Kingston)
  10. "Give it Up To Me" by Shakira (ft. Lil Wayne)

"Top 10: Songs with Healthy Relationship Ingredients (2010)"

  1. "If It's Love" by Train
  2. "Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry
  3. "Everything To Me" by Monica
  4. "Smile" by Uncle Kracker
  5. "If We Ever Meet Again" by Timbaland (ft. Katy Perry)
  6. "Naturally" by Selena Gomez
  7. "When I Look At You" by Miley Cryus
  8. "Nothin On You" by BoB (ft. Bruno Mars)
  9. "Mine" by Taylor Swift
  10. "Just The Way You Are" by Bruno Mars

Huhhm, interesting.
I am really NOT into these kind of hits song as you could realize following my past posts or tweets.
And I am even kinda admired there is such a hit song called "F**K You" in 2010s. It's forward to now.
There are so much music around the world to discover and chose from. I don't even want to deny both "Healthy" and "Unhealthy." A couple weeks ago, my radio cd player would be fixed back and I can listen to several radio stations instead of Television. (Because I don't even have a connected TV in my room.) So listening to many HITS. That's great enough. Especially I like Katy.

That's it.
Hits seem to make a remarkable and remembrance mood of the generation. So that's it (for me).
To be honest, am not a parent of any children. And Music must be always free to be free. Teenagers have chosen both of them, healthy or unhealthy (or, underground or overground). That's just what I want to advocate on this lists.

Un): mini LiveReport「MeanCreek "Hemophiliac Ep" release party in Boston!!!!」

Hi there, it's even been a while as you know, as I know!
Well I am writing for a mini report of Boston based Alt-Rock band MEAN CREEK's release party in Boston, last weekend. Actually this week, you might have a chance to get them cheer in NY THIS WEEKEND that's gonna be with Ny  friends of MeanCreek at PIANO'S. This gonna be also a party for the new EXTENDED PLAY release.

That last Saturday, it was a first time to get there at Brighton Music Hall for me, and  I had a farewell party of a Berklee friend of mine though on the same street at the same time.... haha.

Well, so when I could be there Music Hall act.1 The Dirty Dishes, which I have been really wanting to see the performance by my own eyes once for at once,  almost had done their act. I just could listen maybe one of their killer tunes called "Dear in Headlight."

★Dirty Dishes / "Deer in Headlights"

You can DL here : http://bit.ly/dnmTs9

That was really unfortunate cause so far I have had many chances to see DDs though I couldn't make. First time i recognized them and tried to get seeing them was some show at Church. For living in Fenway person that must be so easy but I could not have been. And finally this time! But NOOOOO... gash. But I...
